Regional Growth Fund

The Regional Growth Fund (RGF) is a £3.2bn fund operating across England from 2011 to 2017. It supports projects and programmes that lever private sector investment creating economic growth and sustainable employment. It aims particularly to help those areas and communities currently dependent on the public sector to make the transition to sustainable private sector-led growth and prosperity.
St Helens Chamber, in conjunction with the other Chambers of Commerce in the Liverpool City Region, has been awarded £6m under RGF Round 6 to provide funding for businesses within the City Region that are looking to expand and create new jobs. Businesses located within Liverpool City Region, which includes Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral, could benefit from Merseyside Jobs and Growth Funding.

The Merseyside Jobs and Growth Fund Is managed by St Helens Chamber and provides grants for businesses planning to expand or invest in Liverpool City Region, creating new jobs for local people.
Funding of up to £75,000 are available to provide investment for growth when suitable finance is not available elsewhere. Grants are available for a range of projects that will create new employment opportunities and job creation, such as purchasing new premises, expanding current premises or capital expenditure on plant and machinery.
The Merseyside Regional Growth Fund will be launched at St.Helens Chamber on 20 July.
